Product name: Iranian Pitted Sair Dates Brand: SDEC Origin: Iran Packaging: All packed loose in nylon bags in strong durable telescopic cartons. Sayer variety dates from Iran can withstand various temperatures and are strong with a long shelf life when stored properly (about 2 years). The do not turn sour in hot temperatures and are very high in sugar content. Nearly half of Iran’s dates export is of this variety of dates. Iran produces almost 1 million metric tons of dates; thus it is the second largest producer of dates in the world. Over the last 6 years we've had exports to Canada, Australia, China and Western Europe.
  1. Iranian Sair Dates are purchase from the Khuzestan province in southwest part of Iran. Particularly the Karun and Abadan region. The Karun region provides the higher grade, lager size fruit. We are the only packer in Ahwaz Khuzestan and the immediate Karun region with access to the best sources of dates.
  2. Dates are brought in the packing plant where they are immediately fumigated with Methyl Bromide gas or Aluminum Phosphide (PH3 gas) to prevent any infestation outbreak.
  3. Once fumigated they are unpitied using clean knives individually by hand, at the same time they are sorted into different grades, this presorting will save considerable time during the packing process.
  4. Per customer request dates are packed in several different varieties, Select, B. Grade, G.A.Q, F.A.Q & industrial proposes only (not for direct food consumption).
  5. At our facility we don’t pack any other dried fruit or nuts products, only dates. Dates are not genetically modified. Pure, natural dates. A Nutrition facts sheets is attached below.
  6. All packed cartons are scanned with a metal detector (3mm Fe) to ensure all goods are free of any metal elements or particles.
  7. Cartos are labeled with net weight, Product of Iran, grade, packed by SDEC, and any additional labeling customer requires.
  8. Standard documents: Invoice, B/L, certificate of origin, Phytosanitory Certificate, fumigation certificate, container certificate and any other required documents.
